Oh hey, you're still here? Must be the ASCII face that piqued your curiosity. My name is Sobika Thapa and I'm a designer with a passion for creating interfaces that don't just look beautiful, they work beautifully too.

I've always been that person who can't help but analyze every design I come across. Middle school me noticed every Facebook update like Timeline UI or Admin Roles. I didn’t know what a UX designer was back then, but that early curiosity has shaped who I am today. I may not be a perfect designer, but I've certainly mastered the art of curiosity. I love diving into the why behind each design decision so it helps me during my own design process.

During my first UX internship using Figma, the little snippets of code on the dev side sparked an interest in coding. That curiosity nudged me toward front-end development and now, with the help of AI tools like Cursor and v0, I've mastered the basics of frontend development which helps me better understand my fellow engineers. I used to spend hours on Stack Overflow trying to fix one bug, which made me hesitant to go deeper into dev (maybe a little laziness too). But I'm glad, I have been able to leverage these AI tools that have taught me so much in such less time. That said, I still prefer perfecting pixels to debugging them.

Whether it's crafting intuitive interfaces or fine-tuning the code behind them, I thrive at the intersection of design and development, making me a true all-rounder in the digital space.
